Online Courses

METHODS OF INSTRUCTION AND INSTRUCTOR INFORMATION The method of instruction used in the course is online. All course material is provided in the form of an interactive tutorial on the computer and does not require in-class hours. Should you have questions regarding real estate course content, the Director of Education, Bob Hart, 770-493-9000, will be glad to assist you. 

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS 

Our online courses require an internet connection of 56K modem or greater, at least 800x600 screen resolution, sufficient memory to run system software, and an internet browser.

Compatible browsers:

•              Windows: include Google Chrome version 35 or newer, or Mozilla Firefox version 4.0 or newer

•              macOS: the current version of Safari, Firefox, or Chrome

•              iPad & iPhone: for best results use Chrome, Firefox or Microsoft Edge

•              Android tablet: Google Chrome version 35 or newer (not necessarily the default browser)

•              Windows tablet, Google Chrome 35 or newer, or Mozilla Firefox 4.0 or newer.

•              Internet Explorer is no longer supported.

We highly recommend using Google Chrome for the best experience. It is always a good idea to update to the most recent version of your browser for an optimal experience.

 

ATTENDANCE Because the courses are approved and administered as online courses, they do not require a set class schedule. Consequently, the attendance policy requires only that you complete all course requirements previously set forth.

HOMEWORK Required homework assignments (if applicable) must be completed satisfactorily before taking a school final examination (if required). Georgia MLS Real Estate School must be able to verify that you submitted your electronic affidavit.

COURSE COMPLETION All courses must be completed within 180 days from the date of purchase. If applicable, an extension(s) may be purchased.

FINAL EXAMINATION Only the Salesperson Prelicense, Postlicense, Broker Prelicense and Appraiser Qualifying courses require a final examination. Georgia MLS Real Estate School must be able to verify that you submitted your student affidavit and completed the required homework (if applicable) BEFORE you are allowed to sit for a final examination. All testing must be completed within one (1) year from the date of purchase. To pass a final examination, you must make a 72% or better. Should you fail, you will be allowed one (1) retake.

Final examinations are by appointment onlyLogin to your account to schedule a final exam appointment. Once you schedule an appointment, you will receive an email confirmation with instructions. You must arrive at least fifteen (15) minutes before your scheduled appointment time. Late arrivals are not permitted. Should you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, you must do so at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance, or you will be assessed a $25 no-show fee at your next appointment booking.

GRADING You are required to complete all lessons on the computer. If the course requires a final examination, you must achieve a passing score. The Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) examination requires a 74% or better to pass.

REFUNDS Continuing education and postlicense online fees are non-refundable. Prelicense course fees are refundable within seven (7) calendar days of purchase. Upon receipt of course materials, a credit will be issued. Customer is responsible for all shipping charges. No refunds will be made after seven (7) calendar days of purchase.

CERTIFICATION Upon completion of a course (excluding Salesperson Prelicense courses), your certification information is sent electronically to the Georgia Real Estate Commission within two business days from the date it was received. You will not receive a certificate. Contact the GREC to verify receipt of your hours by calling 404-656-3916 or visit their website at www.grec.state.ga.us.
